I beg you let me sleep.

I beg you let me sleep.

From lack of rest I sorely need to mend
I spend my days as an unliving wight
The sleep you rob me of will be my end

A night that brings no rest does most offend
You know your ways are blotting out my light
From lack of sleep I sorely need to mend

Against your lovely lures I must contend
But every night you win to your delight
The sleep you rob me of will be my end

Your greedy lust is killing me sweet friend
It’s got my body crushed my mind in flight
From lack of sleep I sorely need to mend

It might be best to die and to descend
Into my grave than live this daily plight
The sleep you rob me of will be my end

I’m bust like a piñata hit with might
I don’t know how I’ll live until the night
From lack of sleep I sorely need to mend
The sleep you rob me of will be my end
